Andrea Montorsi : Tech Trance / European Hard Trance

Andrea Montorsi, aka Dj Andrea MNT, was born in Modena on February 25th 1979. Since the beginning of the 90’s, he has begun to be interested in techno end elettronic music, the most popular genres at that time.That’s why,from the age of 14 to 18 he started to work as a dj in some local radios, where he conducted programs dedicated to dance music.
At the end of the 90’s, bored to play other people’s records, he decided to approch to recording. After working for some years in his own studio where he realized several demos, and after presenting his own material to several labels, he finally got a contract with the indipendent label called Gas Records. In 2001, in collaboration with A&R (Alex Nocera e Beppe Barilli) he recorded and he produced “History”: his first successful piece of his career. This piece reached the charts of Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland and Spain where it has been released by Vale Music as an exclusive licence, while in Germany’s charts with Onyx Record. In Germany he also had the opportunity to realize a videoclip which was broadcasted on Viva FM, Onyx Tv and Mtv.In relation to this success, two eclusive dates took place in the Uk; in this country “History” achieved excellent results and it entrered in Judge Jules’ playlist on BBc radio one. After “History” ,other successes arrived, expecially in the range of Hardtrance. These facts allowed Andrea to go abroad again in Holland, Switzerland and Germany. In 2005 he entered in Luca Antolini, Riky T, Gilbert Renoir’s production team, where he is still working , dealing with hardtrance and hardstyle music. Andrea became also remixer and he produced a lot of records for other italian and foreigner djs. Like this Andrea expanded his own discography attempting several productions with different labels. Up to now Andrea boastes productions which range from techno to chill out, from hardtrance to hardstyle, from house to elettronic. In 2006 he met Nick Santi, a dj from Modena. With him he set up several minimal/techno projects. Thanks to this collaboration (called Andrea Mnt & Nick Santi) two new pieces were produced: “Cosmo Club” (2007) with Italo Bussiness and “Calamita EP” (2008) with Nubit Rec. The future.....? Andrea Montorsi,aka Dj Andrea MNT,nasce il 25/02/1979 a Formigine in provincia di Modena.Gi a partire dai primi anni 90 ,inizia ad interessarsi al mondo della musica techno/elettronica,generi che in quei tempi erano nel pieno nel loro splendore.Comincia cosi' in maniera del tutto automatica e naturale a fare il dj in alcune radio locali, dove dai 14 ai 18 anni conduce programmi dedicati alla musica dance.Alla fine degli anni 90 stanco di suonare dischi di altri decide di occuparsi e avvicinarsi al settore discografico.Dopo aver lavorato per qualche anno nel proprio studio alla realizzazione di svariete demo e dopo aver sottoposto il proprio materiale a diverse label,riesce a ottenere un contratto con una label indipendente,la Gas Records.Nel 2001,grazie alla collaborazione dei due A&R (Alex Nocera e Beppe Barilli)stampa e produce quello che poi diventer il disco lancio della sua carriera discografica,cio History.Questo pezzo entra nelle chart di Austria,Svizzera,Belgio,Olanda,Spagna dove uscir come licenza esclusiva con la Vale Music e nelle chart in Germania dove uscir in licenza con la Onyx Record.Proprio in questo paese viene realizzato anche un videoclip che entrer in rotazione sulle reti musicali Viva,Onyx TV e MTv. Da questo successo nascono le prime date esclusive in UK,altro paese dove History raggiunge ottimi risultati ed entra nella playlist di Judge Jules su BBC Radio One. Dopo History arrivano altri successi discografici in campo hardtrance che portano ancora Andrea fuori confine, in paesi come Olanda,Svizzera e Germania. Nel 2005 entra nel team di produzione di Luca Antolini,RikyT,Gilbert Renoir dove tuttora lavora occupandosi di musica hardtrance e hardstyle. Andrea diventa anche remixer e produce innumerevoli dischi per altri artisti,dj italiani e stranieri.In questo modo Andrea riesce ad allargare la propria discografia cimentandosi in produzioni di vario genere e con label diverse.Ad oggi Andrea vanta infatta produzioni che spaziano dalla techno alla chill out,dall'hardtrance all'hardtsyle,dall'house all'elettonica. Nel 2006 non ancora stanco,conosce il dj modenese Nick Santi con cui inizia una serie di collaborazioni discografiche di stampo minimal/techno. Infatti esce con lo pseudonimo Andrea MNT & Nick Santi il pezzo Cosmo Club con la label Italo Business e nel 2008 Calamita EP con la Nubit Rec. Il futuro......? alla prossima biografia... |
